On 24 November 2011, Kroes debuted in Nova Zembla, the first Dutch 3D film made.
She would not renew her contract with VS that year, moving onto other projects. In 2014, Kroes came in second on the Forbes top-earning models list (after Gisele Bündchen), estimated to have earned $8 million in one year. She started working for the brand in 2004 and became an Angel in 2008.
